Home game - 3 players left, top 2 pay

Blinds are 400/800, moving up to 500/1000 in about 5 minutes

Stacks are
Hero - 5600
Button - 8k
SB - 13k

Button is LAG.

Hero is BB and dealt A9o
Button raises to 1800.
SB calls

Not being a very good NL player I have to wonder what is my move here?

I pushed. Button called. SB pushed. Button called. Button shows KQo. SB shows KK and takes down pot. I place 3rd.

I'd fold unless you can be reasonably certain that both would fold (seems unlikely), in which case I would push all-in.

Agreed... A9o wins 41% of the time against 2 random hands, but the raise and call indicate they have better than average hands, so your probability of winning is probably far less.

Let these 2 duke it out, and make your move when everyone seems a little weaker. One might lose enough to put you in 2nd place, or even get knocked out all together... Middle stack can't wait around for you to get killed by the blinds, that's still a few rounds away, and he's not much better off than you anyway.
