I kind of suck at limit but I am in my first limit tourney in six months and am at the final table at Empire. Normal people are probably sleeping but if you want stop by. My name is ClaudioReyna and it is the Wednesday Night Poker $10K guaranteed. Nine left out of 137 I am in seventh place.

I finished fourth ($900). I played pretty well, I was in 13th with 14 left and just let others eliminate themselves. Half of me thinks I am a better limit player than nl and I am considering going back to limit poker. Sorry I am posting this here but this is where I feel most comfortable. Thanks for the one dude who came to sweat me! Here is one tricky hand I laid down. Thoughts? Hand converter is down and I am exhausted.

Congrats on the nice finish!

Push oh wait wrong game.

If you thought you were up against an Ace then why bet into this flop at all if you would fold to a reraise?

I don't play limit at all and this may be crazy but did you consider a c/r? or even a 3 bet once he raised you?

The big stack could have raised with any two cards in this position and I don't think i would be convinced that I am beat here.

Thanks for the congrats. I bet on the flop because (i) AK might be my most likely holding and that was what I was representing and (ii) if I checked the flop I was afraid I was giving license to steal. For me playing KK on an A high flop is a very tricky propostion whether it be limit of no limit.

That being said, I wasn't convinced I was beat either. Perhaps it was a bad fold.

I'm sorry I was asleep when you posted this, I would have liked to support you. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Was there no small blind in the hand? Not that it really matters, just a question about the hh.

You have to bet the flop; in a cash game I would usually call the flop raise but fold on the turn if the flop raiser bet. (If I actually did have AK, I'd call the flop raise and checkraise the turn.)

Since this is the final table of a tournament and you are shortstacked, bet and fold to flop raise is the best play in my opinion.
