Woo hoo. My first post, after lurking for a couple of months now.

Do you guys think I played this right? I had played the SNG pretty solid up to this point, winning a few big hands with top pairs with strong kickers. UTG had been playing fairly loose up to this point. I'd say he was in nearly 90% of the hands. Anyway here it is...

Party Poker Pot-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (5 handed)

BB (t1580)
UTG (t1965)
MP (t1010)
Hero (t1380)
SB (t2065)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls t50, MP folds, Hero raises to t100, SB folds, BB calls t50, UTG calls t50.

Flop: (t325) 5/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets t125, Hero raises to t325, BB folds, UTG raises to t1300, Hero calls t955 (All-In).

Turn: (t2905) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t2905) 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t2905

Results in white below:
UTG shows Qd Kc (two pair, kings and queens).
Hero shows Ks Ac (one pair, kings).
Outcome: UTG wins t2905.

Hi NNH,

I like it fine except for the initial raise. I would have made it 3x to 4x with that hand to attempt to drive away both blinds.

I might have pushed on the flop, but you certainly gave UTG fair warning that you had a hand with the re-raise. It sounds like you would have lost this hand regardless of what you did, because this player was convinced they had the best of it. Too bad...certainly a bad beat because pre flop you are a 3:1 favorite and a 7:1 favorite at the flop.
