I've seen a few posts on whether the internet poker bubble is going to bust. I don't believe it will. Party Poker, where I play, continues to increase its daily player base everyday. A couple months ago there would be 30-32k players on. Now at peak times, it's 34-38k. I expect this growth to continue based on the popularity of the WPT. I have friends who were not into poker tell me the watch the WPT and the Movie Star Tournies. Poker is becoming more main steam.

In addition, it is only a matter of time until internet gambling becomes legal in the US. When this happens, things will explode. I expect the large casinos in Vegas to open poker sites and push out Paradise, Party and the others. Most people would be much more willing to play poker online with a US regualated company than a company located in the carribean. I know I would. If Party Poker decided to close my account and take all my money today, I could do little. It's a fear, although I doubt it would happen.

Now the bubble could pop in the future a year or two from now. However, I seriously doubt it would drop below present levels.

I have been thinking that as the player base expands the games get softer. So the $100 tables right now could soften to the skill level of the present $50 tables. And so on for all levels. This gives players hope who could not beat the next higher level, that it will soften. Also, ROI's should improves as their current level softens.

Any thoughts? I've been thinking about this for a while and would love to read some other opinions on this. BTW, I posted this here because I feel like I know some of the players here. I know who's comments to respect.
