When you say BB per hour, does that mean big blinds or big bets? So, in a .25/.5 game, where sb .10,big blind .25, is 5 BB per hour 2.5 or 1.25?
And what is a decent winning rate? how many BB's per hour? What would be the smallest "good" BB/hour rate?

BB=Big bet.
The conventional wisdom is that 1 BB per hour (at a single table) is a good rate, but I have to think that most of the players on this board are doing much much better than that.

The "conventional wisdom" assumes B&M dealing speeds. The faster pace of online play means you can play roughly twice as many hands per hour, so the equivalent rough estimate is 2 BB/hour.
Also the 1 BB/hour guideline is for a really good player over the long run in a fairly high limit game. Your can do better in terms of BB/hour if either of the following apply:
1) Instead of being a really good player in a higher limit game, you are a pretty good player in a terrible low limit game.
2) You are a cherry picker. You don't need to play full time and you only show up at those times of the day/week when the game is extra soft for some reason, e.g. tourists or a superfish is playing.
I think the whole 1 BB/hour thing should be sent back to the mid/high stakes forum where it belongs. It really doesn't have anything to do with online micro play.
