SB is loose preflop but hasn't gotten out of line as far as I have seen.
No real read on MP3.

Comments on my play on each street?

after getting c/r on the turn for the second time i would most likely not 3bet...he played this a lot like a set...i suppose A4/AT are possible but would he c/r you after you 3bet the flop without a set? i think you may have scared him into check/calling the river with a set...

Doesn't a set cap the flop? I'm thinking two pair and the hero's hand is good.

a lot of players won't cap the flop so that they can c/r again on the turn...

If I had a set here I would not cap against someone I perceived to be a TAG player. I want to check raise him again.

I think your play is just fine.

I'd guess it's Kh4h.

I guess my question here is "How much credit go you give the other players without a read". If I don't have any read/notes, I'll assume that at .5/1 they're not that sharp.

I understand your point, but I'm just wondering if I need to start giving other players more credit than I have been.

I like your play on all streets.

The only hand I'm really worried about is 44; if he has it, good for him. As you know, there are more ways for him to get AT (which a lot of people would play this way) than 44, plus there's always a small chance he's just loony. So yeah, I like the turn 3-bet.

just my 2c.

cheers,

On the turn, I am definitely seeing the showdown, so I consider the following two scenarios when 3 betting:

1. SB has a set, I call his probable cap and river bet, losing 2 bets.

2. SB has an over-fancy-played two pair, I win 1 extra bet.

I see so many more two pairs like this than sets at 1/2 that I like the 3 bet.

Although it may not be correct for SB to cap the flop with a set, 90% of people will.

I think the 3 bet could also punish MP3 if he is seeing the river. With the possibility of his chips in the pot too, I like the 3 bet even more.

Looks fine. I think you're ahead of AT/A4s and caught a 3 outer on the turn--a set caps the turn. I like the river bet a lot. Thank the SB for building a nice pot for you.

Thirddan nailed it. My opponent had a meekly-played set, 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif4/images/graemlins/spade.gif. I think my play here is fine, despite the results.
