Folks--

Anyone been to Potawatomi since the opening weekend rush? Have the lists settled down/have they opened more tables?

I'm debating making a day of it and heading up on Saturday, rather than going to the (semi) local stand-bys, Harrah's EC or Trump.

Thoughts?

Had a 20/40 game and a 10/20 game going the other day (weekday) 8 tables total. Lists were long for the smaller games, not too bad for these two games. Very soft games, featuring one or two aggressive players and a bunch of calling stations. Fun times while they last.

I was thinking exactly that same thing (Saturday). Do they have any "no limit" cash games? I assume they don't. Are they having/planning tournies yet? I suppose I'll have to try to hit the pond while it is stocked fresh......and try not to end up in someone else's boat.

They're up to 9 tables, I think (I am planning on playing tonight, so I'll correct if need be). Dealers are slow, so don't be shocked to get 25 hands an hour. Management is overworked and a little surly.

If you plan on playing 2/4 or 5/10, get there before 11am or be prepared to play bingo for a few hours while waiting...and no calling ahead either. the 10/20 and 20/40 didn't have very long waits. The 10/20 was good and loose-passive each time I played it. The 20/40 was a little nutty on Friday night, but a rock garden on Saturday afternoon.

They occasionally spread 10/20 Omaha or 1-5 stud, but no NL. It's basically all limit HE.

Any tip offs so I know which of you are fellow 2+2ers?? I may wear a hat and literally marker 2+2 on the lid.....it isn't like I don't have enough baseball caps.

That's funny.
What do you say when someone asks you what it says on your hat?
"I'm a big math nut"

I'm usually the youngest-looking one in the 20/40 game. Blonde highlights in the hair, 6', medium build. I'll try to bring my little dinosaur on a tricycle as a card protector from now on.

Don't forget the first rule of 2+2 though. You don't talk about 2+2. The second rule is...you don't talk about 2+2.

OK...so if you see the taller guy wearing the hat with the 2+2 on it...."just say nice hat "Phishy""....I'll respond with "I like math".....then we're good.

"Eagle has landed"
"The fish swims alone" &
"Mr. Clean isn't bald"

......are also acceptable.

Not us. We'll give you the fish on Saturday if we can have them tonight.

I go 2-3 times a week.

Weekends the lists are very long for low limit. I signed up at 8pm last night (Saturday) and was seated at 1:30 am.

$20-40 and $10-20 are currently the least waiting time games to get into. Less than an hour for either 95% of the time.
