View Full Version : Slightly off-topic but this must be the worst play i've ever seen.

4-8 hold'em at a B&M. guy gets caught in the middle of a raising war and calls every bet (he's in between and it's capped pf). Flop is A K T rainbow, again he gets caught in the middle of a raising war and it's capped. Turn is a 3, again, capped. River 5, again capped.

First guy turns over KK for a set, other guy proudly flips his set of aces, and the guy who was caught in the middle flips 2 4 offsuit for the runner-runner low straight. I'm not making this up. $300 pot.

This makes me want to cry.

Believe it or not, I've seen worse.

Haha...this should make you want to go outside the card room and jump up and down shouting your good fortune for finding a game so soft /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was involved in almost the exact same hand except the fish turned over 25o instead of 24o.

Commerce Casino in LA. The juiciest 3/6 game I've ever participated in. Some mediocre player raises in MP and is called by a bunch of people including a fishy calling station. Flop is 732r. An EP player bets, MP raises, fishy calling station calls. Turn is a 9, EP bets again, MP raises again, fishy calling station calls, everyone else including EP folds. River is a 9, MP bets, calling station does what he does best and calls. MP proudly flips over TT. Fishy calling station smiles faintly and turns over 96o. MP goes nuts on him and screams "What the hell were you doing calling the flop you idiot?!"

"I wanted to go for the straight."

I've noticed that many players on these forums seem to underestimate the power of having 3 to a straight on the flop /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
