While in Duluth for some R&R this weekend I stumbled
across a cardroom that just opened last Monday. I never
remember the name of the casino, it's the one in the old
Sears building downtown. I remember playing a great simulated
single deck blackjack game with lottery balls in the 1980's before cards were legal.

Anyways, the new room is on the second floor. The rake
is 10% to $4, the dealers appear to keep their own tips
instead of pooling, and the board list 3/6 & 4/8 stud,
10/20 stud/8, and a variety of HE limits. Unfortunately,
nobody signs up for the stud game and all they have
ever spread is HE. Saturday thet had 2/4, 3/6, and 4/8
HE going.

The dealers are quite competent, much better than the
dealers in the new Wisconsin rooms. They might have
transferred over from Black Bear as the same tribe
owns both.

The players were mainly drunk locals, but I would think tourists
and conventioners will be found there during the summer months.
