Man, frustrating night with AQs last night. I think I was getting too fancy on a few of these hands and should have been more aggressive early - any thoughts?

My PT stats indicate terrible results with AQs...either a huge leak in my game or just a bad luck. How can I plug the leak!!

For a start you can raise preflop in all 4 hands.

As the others said, Raise preflop every damn time with AQs or AQo.

Hand 1: raise preflop, bet/3-bet the flop, bet the turn, bet the river. What's the question?

Hand 2: raise preflop, raise the flop...

Hand 3: bet the damn flop.

Hand 4: raise preflop.

AQ is a good hand. When you flop a queen or an ace (or two pair), it's a good hand.

Bet and raise your good hands at every opportunity. Don't worry about pouncing on people on the turn or whatever you think you're doing in these hands. Just bet.

You absolutely must raise with AQs in each of these hands. You let people in with garbage for next to nothing and it cost you. Yes there was some bad luck there, but with a superior hand like AQs you must raise pre-flop, and when you hit the flop like in hands 1-3, get the money in there, bet and raise.

To be fair, after the flop in hand 1 you were going to lose, but raise pre-flop. Hand 2, you needed to raise pre-flop, and keep on raising after hitting the flop, you let the BB in with his 72 and it beat you. Hand 3, raise, raise, raise, after flopping 2 pair! Hand 4, raise pre-flop, the rest is OK.
