Just wanted to hear any suggestions on my play on this hand.

Game #196874416 - $1/$2 Texas Hold'em - 2002/06/15-22:18:37 (CST)

Table "Blanquilla" (real money) -- Seat 9 is the button

Seat 1: Zgooba ($154.50 in chips)

Seat 3: tsherif ($81 in chips)

Seat 5: TheRo ($71.50 in chips)

-------------------------

My thoughts:

He obviously has something. Hands I put him on: 77, QJ, clubs, TT, KT, AT. I think a reraise here is a possibility, but I find it a little questionable, since the majority of these hands beat me. Disagree?

-------------------------

tsherif : Call ($2)

WeirdRash: Fold

*** RIVER *** : [ 7d Ac Kc Tc ] [ 2c ]

Ickster : Bet ($2)

-----------------------------------

I would have probably called here if the 4th club hadn't fallen, based on the size of the pot, but now I figure that there are just way too many hands that can beat me. A friend of mine noted that there aren't too many clubs left that could have legitimately called my preflop raise. Perhaps based on that I should have called?

-----------------------------------------------

tsherif : Fold

Ickster : Winner -- doesn't show cards

Tsherif,

On the turn, if you are behind, your have four outs to win, and are getting 10-1 on the pot. Good call, especially if you add in the times that you might be ahead.

I probably would have called the river, see the discussion below in the thread - a common situation. You are getting 12-1 on to call on the river, and he still might have AT or KT. Your friends comment might be right on the money, or he might have AQ or AJ with a club side card.

If you know the player, you might be able to fold here. If you don't know the player, I would invest 1 bet to learn something about him.

Good luck,

Play well,

Bob T.
