Party poker 25 NL table, both myself and the person in question have roughly $50.

I'm dealt K10o in the big blind, 4 limpers to me and I check (pot 2.50)

Flop is K85 rainbow. I bet out $2, and the bet is raised to $7 and there is one caller for the $7 bet. I fold.

I was doubtful that the raiser had AK, KQ or KJ or any pocket pair that could have made a set, as at this table that hand would have been bet preflop. K8 or K5 was a definite possibility at this table. Could also be betting an 8 or 5. Easy fold from the big blind the way I played it? Would a check-call to see if my kicker hit, or a check-raise be a better way to play it?

Results:

Turn was a 10 and river was a 5. Raiser held K-10 and took down the pot.

Be sure to take notes on the "raiser"...K10o is a HORRIBLE hand to play in NL, but he doesn't know that yet...

I don't think I would have bet this out of position.

Given that you bet, AND there was a call to the raise, good fold. If there hadn't been another caller and it would be HU, I MIGHT play this. But playing KT out of position sounds miserable to me.
