I'm at either a full table or near a full table at Party/Empire, $50 SnG. Blinds are 15/30, I am BB with 99. Five players limp including the SB. Do you check or raise? I still had about what I started with, something around 1000 chips. There are 180 on the table. I thought about raising it up and seeing if I could take what was on the table right there, but based on experience, my guess is that this early in the tournament, at least one player is going to call me, if not more, and then there's a good chance I'll be playing a guessing game on the flop. It's early, I figure I can risk my chips in better situations later, so I check, knowing that I can still flop trips or an overpair an possibly make a lot of chips. Would you do the same thing?
