party 3/6

I've got red JJ on the button. 2 limpers, I raise, BB and limpers call.

Flop is AAK rainbow.

They check it to me and I bet. 2 callers.

Turn is 7 putting 2 hearts on board.

They check to me and I check.

River is offsuit 5

There is a check 2nd guy bets and we both fold.

Was this too weak? I usually dont give my opponents this much credit but was it OK here?

During the hand a couple different options were available I think. I could bet the turn and fold to a CR. I could check the turn and call a bet on the river (althought I prefer betting the turn to this).

One line I considered was checking behind on the flop, and raising the turn, representing the slowplayed AK boat. Does anyone think this would be a good play? I could obviously fold to a 3-bet, and it might knock someone off a K. It also likely gets me to showdown for only 2 BBs.

What do you think??

I think a better strategy is to bet the turn and fold to a raise. If they call the turn and check to you on the river I'd check it through unimproved.

I think that after you raised preflop and are called in two spots on a flop of AAKr that you are done with the hand.

You are either up against a k or a slowplayed ace - you played it fine.

Well its good to hear you guys think I played fine. I just have a hard time thinking "Uh oh, he checked and called. I must be beat."
