from Max Shapiro's interview with the 1500 limit he winner
“I like to play a lot of hands and bluff, and I never got the chance. I went an hour without a hand at one point. Now I started winning, and could play my style, making players fold. And it’s much easier to bluff when the game is short-handed.”

if it works in a tournament, and that's the winning "formula", then fine. Sounds like a formula for crashing and burning in a live game, though.
also, an hour? he was complaining about being cardless for an hour? granted, it was short(er) handed since it's final table play, and granted any time period without playable hands sucks rocks, but an hour's really not that long a time period (or I'm the unluckiest player alive).

In re-reading the article, it says that he's a white chip pro from LA. I'm assuming that the above quote is just his tournament strategy and that he adjusts in live games.
