View Full Version : Getting sucked in

Playing a $600 WSOP qualifier on Party. It's still early, 35 hands in. I've only seen 1 flop (99) and had to fold on a AKx flop. I have 820 chips left. Blinds are 15/30. I have AcKc in the BB and there is an MP limper(1,600), and the SB calls. I make it 120 to go and MP calls, SB folds. Flop is K 8 3 rainbow. I check hoping to get a little more out of him, on a flop with no draws. He bets 70 (he has made undersized bets the whole tournament), and I raise it to 300. He immediately shoves it all in, and I immediately call. He has AA. An A turned and I don't remember the river.

In hindsight, what would he go all in with that I could beat. I still had 400 chips left, could I lay this down? I'm sure that I would have called even if I had thought it through, but it annoys me that I didn't even think about it. It really doesn't seem like a situation for a bluff. Of course had he called I was going all in on the turn anyway.
Just wondering what others would do.
