Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

UTG ($8)
Hero ($31.90)
MP2 ($19.70)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $2, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls $1.50.

Flop: ($6.75) 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $7, MP2 raises to $17.7 (All-In), UTG folds, Hero folds.

Another silly NL newbie question. Does this look right?

I wouldn't have folded. JJ, TT, A9s, 9Ts, 2 diamonds that are over cards could all have been played the same way. If I was the MP player I may have made move with nothing figuring you had to overcards and were making a move. What kind of flop are you looking for with QQ?

I agree. This was not a bad flop for you. I wouldn't put him on aces or kings due to the fact that there was no reraise preflop. He maybe had top pair or, almost more likely, a flush draw. Daithi is probably correct in assuming the he put you on overcards and no piar. He out played you. Call the all-in. The most likely worst case senario is he had a flush draw. He's only hitting that roughly 1 out of 3 times. Call it.

I think I got scared because a similar situation happened a few orbits prior to this hand. I had KK, raised pre-flop and got cold-called. I potted the flop, got raised all-in and lost to AA.

I think I'm too risk adverse to be successful at big bet poker.

There are times to fold an overpair, but this doesn't look like one. Increase both the stacks by $100 and the laydown looks much more reasonable.
