I haven't seen him do anything but play straight forward boring poker. so it looks like an obvious flush so i have to fold. wish i could ahve seen the river though.

Looks like you played each of the hands just fine. Two days ago, I spiked a set with 4 out of my first 5 pocket pairs (in less than an hour)...it was unbelievable. Sometimes I'll go a couple of sessions without spiking a set.

ps~ why no results? /images/graemlins/confused.gif doesn't seem like there's much to debate here

hand 1 i lost to AA. i guess he has AK and AQ enough times to play it the same way. should i have bet the turn instead of check raising?

hand 2 i lost to 66. i'm not sure what else he could have here besides TT after he moves in but i'm commited after the check raise. maybe if the stacks are deeper i can get away but not here.

hand 3 i'm not sure if i should have checked the turn or not?

this is my first whole hearted jump into the 100's so i'm second guessing myself i suppose. i'm going to go back down if i lose 4 more buyins.

Hi,

I haven't been a victim of it yet in my short NL career, but you should almost never put someone on a higher set. I don't think you can get away from hand 1 and hand 2 the way the board is. It's unfortunate it happened, but I hope because it did (and 2 within the span of 45 minutes, no less), you don't start seeing monsters everywhere.

As for hand 3, I would bet it out as opponents will occasionally take shots when scare cards appear. Make it more difficult for them to scare you out by betting out the turn and removing ambiguity. He either likes the flush card or doesn't like it; it's really that simple. That person who reraised all-in almost certainly has a flush. Good fold.
