Today I was playing in a 15+1 turbo sng on stars and I found myself in a situation that has had me thinking.

The blinds were huge at this point 600/1200 and it has been an all-in fest for a while. I am the big stack with about 11000 chips. he has a bit over 2400. He has been pushing with almost anything for a while and I have just won a big hand to finally get this big a stack

I am the BB posting 1200 and he pushes
I have 62o

I think about this and I figure to myself... about 1200 to call to win 4800 and eliminate him...

...can my 62o be that much of an underdog?

If I fold he's up to 3600ish anyways and if I call and lose it puts him to 4800ish

I call

I figure the only way I'm not getting odds is if he has me dominated and the fact that I have 62o suggests that it's unlikey that I am. An overpair is still possible but I call

He does have me dominated with J6o and I lose

I push the next hand with A9 and he beats me with KT. I end up losing the tourney.

Was my 62o call really bad here. who calls?

I would have done exactly the same thing in both hands too. Tough breaks, but I don't think there's anything to be done about it in these turbo games.
