I'm new to omaha, usually play texas hold 'em, in general, what are the top starting hands in omaha, and in omaha h/l. I know that ace 2 usually is good to have in the hand. Any info would be helpful

Omaha High: The best hand is AAxy double suited where x and y are high cards. Four unpaired cards nine or higher preferably including a suited ace is a strong hand also. In pot-limit KKxy, QQxy, and medium straight runs like 8765 double suited are also good hands. (Those hands are much weaker in limit Omaha high where you can't protect a set or straight, and non-nut redraws are easily outdrawn.)

Omaha-8: In limit Omaha-8, A23x with a suited ace is very strong, as are AA2x double suited and A2xy with a suited ace where xy are high cards or a high pair. In pot-limit Omaha-8 hands like A239 without a suited ace are much weaker since they don't have scoop potential, and hands like KKxy, QQxy, four unpaired double suited high cards, and Axy6 with a suited ace where x is 2-3 and x<y<6, can be very valuable when the money is deep.
