Tips in European Cardrooms

I heard someone say recently that it is not customary to tip dealers in European poker rooms. Is this true?

In the UK it is banned. Don't know about anywhere else.

in holland everyone at my table tipped. the rake at the holland casino is ridiculous, however. for 10/20 it's 5% capped at 15!! I hate to think of what the rake is in the PLO game.

it has been 4 years since i have been there. but except in london, europe casinos muscle you to over tip. the floormen are in on the tips of the dealers and you are regularly given warnings about not tipping enough. unless you tip enough. and dollar tips are not what i am talking about. i hope the situation has changed.
