The key to this hand was the mini-reraise by UTG+1 from my $7.50 to $13. When push comes to shove, I generally push all-in on on any KK or AA unless I have a specific read. I simply see too many overplayed QQ, JJ (or any pair) or AK to fold. In this case, it was black KK, and I sucked out on the river.

What are people's general feel on what happened preflop? And does anyone do anything differently?

I'd have played this just like you did.

I don't sweat losing my stack to KK vs AA when all-in PF. The line between a player's actions PF with AA vs KK or QQ is too blurry. I think this is an easy push.

Firstly getting AA all in preflop with callers is perfect no matter the read.

There was some discussion I think from Bunky about somebody calling his all in when he had aces. There is some decent discussion there of what to do with kings.

Personally I would do the same thing you did with no reads.

When someone raises and then does the minimum re-raise that usually is a big hand. Post flop quite likely to be a set/straight/flush. Pre-flop, quite likely KK+ and maybe AA. So playing it the way you did is probably fine. Against some opponents it would be a clear fold. Of course the last time I was in the same situation, I got all the money in the middle and didn't suckout. I didn't go with my read and muck.
