No read on this player yet. My thoughts were that a lot of the hands he could call a raise preflop with had an ace. I figured it was either a push or a fold, and I decided there are better spots to get my chips in.

Thoughts?

I agree, I would pick a better spot as well.

Without a read on the player, folding is certainly prudent. However, calling may well be better than raising. In other words, the way of playing the hand may be: 1) fold 2) call 3) raise, so it's not necessarily a raise or fold situation. If he's behind you but more likely to continue betting at you if you call regardless of what comes on the turn and will fold if you raise, then calling could be better than raising.

supereasyautofold. limp reraising is an option if the game is aggro.

easy fold because you raised preflop. if he had, then it is a closer call
