I feel like I played this wrong, but I'm not sure if I was too agressive or not agressive enough. MP1 is a maniac and I don't know anything about UTG.

Pot odds may justify the flop call( its too late /images/graemlins/shocked.gif I am not doing the math)

But calling the turn is most def a mistake.

With UTG's actions on the flop I would have guessed him to have A10 at least. With the bet on the turn I'd have to drop the J's.

I would prolly fold this flop when utg bets into the pf raiser. Too many single A players at this level. If I didn't fold on the flop, I definitely fold this turn. You are a 23:1 dog to make your set on the river and any A has you dominated.

Are you nuts? Fold the flop.

With six opponents, I'm highly skeptical nobody has an ace...if you aren't prepared to take that on faith, you could raise with the bettor directly to your right and see if you could knock out a weak ace. As it was, once you called and it came back to you three bet--dump it.

according to mike caro, in an eight-handed game, if you dont hold an ace, the chances that no one else does either is roughly 25%.

What kind of game though? In microlimits a lot of players will play any ace they get, regardless of their kicker. I can't argue that that number is right or wrong, but is it possible it's geared towards games with opponents that think a little bit more?

fold the flop 3-bet. He has a pair of aces.

this figure is not based on who is in or who isn't in.
it's just the odds of any of the other cards being an ace.

evidently, if you have 2 non-aces and then deal off 14 (or 16 or whatever) straight cards....the odds of going through
that stretch without an ace is 25%.....not dependent on who is playing or not.

this figure is inapporpriate for this scenario however since you know 1 of the aces are out on the flop.

as far as this hand is concerned.....this is el-folderama.
whenever you run into strength after overcards fall you have to assume you are in trouble....
especially if that overcard is an ace.

Thanks to all for the help. I'm winning at 0.05/0.10, but still learning about when to let go. Expect to see many more like this from me before I move up.
