Say in a fairly loose low limit game you limp with a small pocket pair in late position in a multiway pot. One of the blinds raises and all call, with you closing the action.

The flop comes rainbow, no set for you, one or maybe two overcards to your pair, and your outs are clean from making someone a straight. The pre-flop raiser bets and most of the players call. You can call and see the turn for 1 bet.

What do you figure you need as far as the pot and the number of callers to make this call to try to spike the 22.5:1 shot on the turn?

For example, 6 see the flop and 2 call the flop bet. It comes to you with the pot offering 15:1. Is this enough, and if so can less be enough?

If you figure there will be more than 6SBs added to the pot on the turn, and your 2 outs are indeed clean, then you can call. However, these are quite special and favorable circumstances you mentioned!

Pretty common at Party 2/4 /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Getting 6 SB's or more should be pretty routine here, but I guess that the difference between calling and folding would be pretty close to zero either way, when you have to divide each extra SB you get by 23.5.
