Hello,

this is my first post on 2 + 2 but have been reading for a couple months. I have a question. I will be going to Atlantic City for my first time on Sunday and was wondering what are some casinos that offer Texas Hold'em? I would be playing low limit (1/2 , 2/4) and would like a friendly place where me and a couple of my buddies could get on a table(doesnt have to be the same one) without too much of a wait. Thanks for your help

Sorry no info about AC. You may get some responses here; but B&M Cardrooms would be a better place for this post.

I'll list the casinos that have Texas Holdem and my observations (btw, last I checked, the lowest limit was 2/4):

Borgota - New casino, clean and fairly friendly. Huge poker room. Depending on the time and day you go, there could be up to a two hour wait or more for the 2/4.

Harrahs - Small poker room. Always friendly the highest Holdem game I've seen there is 3/6. Most of the time the wait isn't too bad, but when it's bad, it's really bad because of so few tables. They actually close this room down early AM.

Taj - Decent sized room. I've never had a good time there. The mix of dirt and ass holes give it an old West feel. Don't know about the wait.

Sands - Haven't been there since they put that tourny on ESPN but it used to be mostly older people, playing tight aggressive. The room itself is decent, I've never had to wait that long there and it's the only smoking room left.

The Tropicana has a room too, but I won't go there since their parking garage collapsed.

The Borgata spreads 2/4 in the afternoon a lot of times. The wait is usually not too bad during these times, but it gets much worse at night, and a decent amount of time their lowest limit is 3/6. It is by far the nicest poker room in Atlantic City.

The Taj always spreads 2/4 but is a total trash dump, and is very loud.

I don't remember if the trop spreads 2/4 or not, but they spread a lot of low limit games so I wouldn't be surprised.
