I made a spur of the moment trip to vegas this weekend. hoping to take advantage of good side action due to the tournament.

well anyways i tortured the side games and won lots and lots of money.

when i went to cash out my big chips today they wouldn't let me in and said i would have to come back some other time to get my money.

no big deal I guess since I'll be back for the world series but i cant believe they didn't have a reliable back-up power supply. I'm sure they lost a ton of dough.

If you're still in Vegas, you can cash in your Bellagio chips at the Mirage or some other MGM-Mirage property.

True story: big pot in the 30-60 game at Commerce. The lights go out just before the showdown. Stunned silence.

We then hear one of the players call out, "Making change."

Biggest laugh I ever heard in a cardroom.

The Mirage agreed to cash some of my chips. They probably would have done the whole lot if I had made a big stink about it. But I was hung-over and didn't feel like fighting.
