If I am limping with this hand, instead of open raising /images/graemlins/grin.gif, I like to have one more limper in front of me, and be one position farther back. (Not to say I wouldn't do it here, but I would like the improved odds and position) Otherwise, this seems fairly standard.

Good luck,
play well,

Bob T.

I'm folding this hand preflop. Since you didn't, I wouldn't have bet the flop.

Care to elaborate ?

Personally I limp this sometimes but not all the time in this situation. I would really rather CO or the button though.

Post flop I think it was played fine.

Betting the flop with 6 opponents, an OESD, and a backdoor flush draw, is a clear value bet. If betting was wrong, it was only because you expected a later position player to bet, and you were going to checkraise.

On the turn, you probably aren't going to get enough callers to make your bet a value bet, and you aren't going to win very often.

Similarly, I don't think you will win the pot often enough on the river for a bet to be right. I like his play on the last three streets.

I agree that the flop call was a little thin, but I don't know if it goes as far as being a misplay.

Good luck,
play well,

Bob T.

Im not a fan of semibluffing into 7 opponents... but he does have enough outs for this bet to be a value bet, so the flop was okay.

Even 7 handed Im folding this hand on the button preflop though. Poker tracker has 86s winning slightly less than 3% of the time... maybe thats just because I fold it all the time.

Or misplay it.

Preflop:

I'd really like to be in a later position w/smalls suited one-gappers/conectors.

Other than that I think you played if fine.

Peace,
Joe Tall

I doubt it was intended as a semi-bluff.
