Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero calls, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

I realize that this is a TERRIBLE limp with only one caller behind me, but I hadn't played a hand in probably an hour and was getting really bored. I know, I need to have more discipline than that, but what's done is done, so, I guess just ignore that part...

Flop: (4 SB) 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (6 BB) T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

River: (10 BB) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 10 BB

Results in white below:
SB shows 9s 9h (one pair, nines).
BB shows 8c Qc (high card, king).
UTG+1 shows Ac Jc (high card, ace).
Hero shows 7h 6h (one pair, sixes).
Outcome: SB wins 10 BB.

My qestion is this: is it really worth getting involved when a suited connector misses? (And by miss I mean not flopping an 8 or 9 out draw.) I did have top pair and a gut shot and I felt like the flop was a raise/fold situation.
