I'm a fairly new player who is slowly moving up the limits. I started 0.25/0.50 3 months ago (because of the lack of money, I had won a small amount in a free roll to start out). I'm now up over 3k and am playing $2/4 lately.

One thing I don't have right now is anyone else around who plays seriously. I live in Vancouver and would love to find a poker guru nearby. What can I offer? I work online, mainly designing websites. I also know a lot about online poker, affiliate operations, etc. I could help someone make there own poker website. Most of my work is poker related so I won't spam the board with those sites but the one I most recently finished that isn't poker related is [url=http://www.mosconedevelopments.com]Moscone Developments/url] . Let me know if you are interested. If you want a website, this is a good offer of trade.

What do you plan to get out of this "proposition"?

Honestly, you've found a bunch of gurus right here. Any questions you have will likely get plenty of responses (some may even help you /images/graemlins/wink.gif).

Why limit yourself to one "guru" when you can get plenty of opinions on something you have questions about.

Post hands and questions in the appropriate forum and you'll get all the help you ever wanted.

Honestly, the problem with this board is everyone is trying to be smart all the time. The answers really are sometimes more about proving that than answering the questions. Some one on one with a good player would be much quicker and easier. I don't mean to put everyone down but I have seen this in a lot of posts.

I may not be no 20/40 guru, but i'm lookin for the same thing as you right now. A good poker player that lives in vancouver to play some games with. I think a few sessions playing online with each other would benefit both players. I'm young and play a lot in the local casino's here, (coquitlem 6/12, and vancouver 10/20). I think a poker study group or something similar would be fun. give me a shout, if your interested.
