Can a player beat the rake in an avg. 4 players per flop Omaha8 limit game?. I can't seem to get anywhere in those games.

Yes.

BTW, if you think the rake is the only reason why you're not winning, it probably means that you should re-evaluate your game for leaks... or find yourself a looser table.

at a high rake and small stakes quite possible you cant beat the rake if they play tight at all. most times though its the play which is too loose before and after the flop which defeats most players chances of getting ahead.

i would say you should be able to beat the rake easily, with one qualification: if you're playing party .50/1 where they rake 50 cents at $5, and most of the pots are $5-$7, you will have a tough time beating it.

Thanks all. I clearly need to work in my game more and/or find very loose games.

It depends on the rake and how well the opponents are playing from the flop on. If the rake is not too high and they are chasing with non-nut draws you should be able to beat the rake.
