I guess the hand converter and my opponent in this hand were thinking the exact same thing.

Etosha is an interesting player

i originally noted that he seemed ok - these days i look for him - i used to judge players largely by how many flops they saw and his VP$IP is 28% after 1,000 hands in his company - tight

if he plays before the blinds he raises - so aggro too

tight and aggro

unfortunately brain dead post-flop - he has been on a big "winning streak" for those 1,000 hands winning an enormous 42% of the hands he sees a flop - he loses 7.5BB's per 100 hands - go figure

he has single handedly paid 2 weeks off my mortgage - stop beating up on my chooks big U

Funny, my notes said something like "Almost never folds on the river for one bet."

I guess he took it to an extreme.

I'm just a browser in this forum but my jaw fell open when I read this one. Are there actually people playing for $10 and $20 per bet that are THIS bad? I would be amazed, shocked, appalled and somewhat amused if this is the case. Maybe he put you on pocket 2's, 3's or 4's and thought he'd chop? /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

this is exceptionally bad - not common - sometimes you think its rare but then it happens some more

Etosha reminds me of how someone would go about attempting a bot and maybe get to step 3 before realizing the turn and river play is too difficult.

I wonder if it's profitable for a player to play near optimal pre-flop, blindly aggressive post-flop, and go to the river double the normal amount...maybe not, but it can't be too far off...

EDITED to add: my notes on Etosha: calls down no matter what. VPIP 28% losing 4BB/100, this is over 400 hands in march...
