Hi bigsooner,

The $1/$2 blinds, $100 buyin no-limit game at Bellagio was dropped in favour of a $2/$4 blinds, $200 buy-in game a couple of months ago.

There aren't any small pot-limit Omaha games in Vegas, but no-limit hold'em has been a big growth area in the past few months. During the WSOP last year Binions was basically the only place to play a no-limit cash game, but now you can find no-limit at the Bellagio, Orleans and Palms. A few other places also spread no-limit cash games at peak times. And of course, there are quite a few no-limit tourneys across the city.

For full details see my website at http://www.pokerupdate.com/lasvegas.htm.

Hope that helps,
Andrew

daryn is the majority shareholder for Spam, so his post is actually spam. Very creative he is, using his spam to call someone elses spam spam.

You might want to actually visit this particular site before you accuse Andrew of spamming. It's a very good site with lots of excellent, up-to-date info on the Vegas Poker scene. Howard Burroughs gives input on this site.

Usually, you are dead-on with your spaminator, but this time you weren't.

i did visit the site before posting. i wasn't saying the site wasn't helpful, but there are affiliate banners and whatnot on it right?

i don't have time to discriminate between good spam and bad spam

I just looked through the whole site and couldn't find one affiliate banner, but there is a little what-not there /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seriously, I don't normally defend these types of sites (as you know) that get away with being a semi-informational poker site with a million affiliate links, but this site is an excellent source of info, particularly for those going to Vegas to play Poker and want some info before they go.

i agree with you, i also find the info on the site useful. there is however an affiliate section with affiliate links, and also the guy is selling a book.

not that i am against this kind of thing, like i said. i have a site with affiliate garbage and whatnot also.. i'm just saying spam is spam, we can't condone one form of spam because it is also helpful.

anyways i was just joking /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hehe, I know there's affiliate links and a book being sold there, but you asked if there were banners...did you find any /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Alright, let's leave well enough alone.

Keep up the good work on the site Andrew and Howard. It was very helpful for my trip last weekend.

do you consider posts for twoplustwo (http://www.twoplustwo.com) to be spam? There are links to poker sites here.

what are "posts for twoplustwo"? how can a site spam itself on itself?

There are banners EVERYWHERE on this forum. So doesn't that make any reference to this site spam in your opinion?

if i went to someone elses forum and started posting a lot about www.twoplustwo.com (http://www.twoplustwo.com) this and www.twoplustwo.com (http://www.twoplustwo.com) that, then yes it would be spamming.

still searching for your point.... help me!

His link provided useful supplimental information. So in that case, no one should ever use the URL tag, since anything external is spam.

did you read any of the other posts in this thread? if so why are you stating the same thing that stew did above? i know the site contains useful info, and i have actually used some of it when i went to vegas.

i know the site contains useful info, and i have actually used some of it when i went to vegas.

So what is your point? Should we disallow a link to every site that has any adds on it (most do)? I think the link was a sincere attempt to help the guy find the info he was looking for. Much different than the guys posting useless garbage to sell their crap or get affiliate money.

all i did was deem it to be spam, that's all. i don't care if the guy posts it or not. i don't have some wish for it to be deleted or anything, in fact i wish the man good luck with his operation!
