Hi AviD

Why not check raise the flop? I'd want to charge anyone on a draw. I can't believe the CO didn't reraise you on the river. Nice of him to save you one BB.

Mainly because of the large field, I figured if someone raised it would be early and push out the majority of the field or if raised late I would 3-bet and try to push out the majority of the field.

You played the hand fine. Your opponent missed a bet on the river /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

scared of the straight flush perhaps.

Yeah that is obvious, I assume the river 3-bet is a given with second nut flush.

I can't drop AKo for 2.5SB preflop, but I am way out of position. Flop and turn seem fine, river just didnt have the nuts.

river just didnt have the nuts.

You had the third nuts behind an unlikely straight flush and an A of trump. I would have played it the way you did. The times he does not have the nuts will make up for the times he does have the nuts. Think of it that way /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Whenever the CO calls the 3 bet, it would be hard for me to not be confident about winning the pot.
