3-6 online

i raise one limper from MP with JhJd, one cold-caller, bb calls, limper calls. 4 handed.

[Ac Qc 8c]

bb bets out, limper calls, i folded.

seemed routine enough to me until the limper took it with pocket 4's, bb was betting nut flush draw.

i put him on the Kc when he bet out, but with the limper calling and one left to act behind me, i figured folding was my only play.

Routine, wait for a better flop -- fold this one.

routine and correct, even though it was incorrect in hindsight. Bad, loose players never fold a winner, but solid players will have to on occassion. Don't fret it.

The majority of times you have this hand, flop, and action you would be throwing away money to call.

No brainer - fold

You have nothing but third best pair on a very dangerous board with only 2 outs (with one out making a 4 flush). In addition, someone led into you after showing strength and you already have one caller.

A much more interesting question is what to do if you held the Jack of clubs (I would probaby raise).

I look at it this way:

No overcards to my pocket pair: Green light, Go!

One overcard: Yellow light, proceed with caution.

Two overcards: Red light, Stop!

Hey, that's not bad, huh? Maybe I should write a book? Does the world need a new poker book? /images/smile.gif
