Can any Vegas regular confirm that the Horseshoe has re-opened and is running WSOP Sats?

Apparently open, and people are already auctioning their chips on eBay.

As to why I'd want to pay ten bits for a one dollar chip for a casino halfway across the country... well, I guess if I wanted a sample for my collection. But there are people selling hundreds of them. I mean single auctions for 100 or more chips. (Then again, I see people doing this with all casinos, and it still confuses me.)

Just a guess, but perhaps they just had them and weren't allowed to cash them in over the last few months, so they were basically worthless. Now that the casino is open, possibly they are hoping for a vegas resident to help them out?

No, they're auctioning the newly issued post-reopening chips.

Sunday they were running one table satellites. $120 for a $1000 tournament chip and $100 cash. You could use the $1000 chip to enter another satellite for the buy-in to the Big One, but they weren't running them yet.

I was there on 4/1. They didn't have anything above 4/8 going for limit but had a couple of live NL tables going. It is non-smoking at the tables now as well. Definitely is open though.
