In my quest to find a warmer place to live - I was wandering if anyone could recommend any townships near Atlantic City?

Smaller to medium size would be good. Thanks for the help.

Dude, have you ever BEEN to AC in the fall/winter/early spring?

That pesky ATLANTIC OCEAN, well, it effects the temperature/general climate a lil bit.

Although AC is warmer, I imagine, I liken your move to someone who hates casinos moving from Las Vegas to Reno.

I can do better than that. Just gimme some time.

New Jersey may have less snow than Syracuse, but it's only marginally warmer, and AC aside, there is definitely much more happening in Syracuse from October-April.

I would not recommend anywhere near AC /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

However you can look into Absecon or Gallowway township.

If you did not know, most people consider Atlantic City a ghetto. If you ever ever driven around the city, you will see what I mean.

Go to Arizona or Nevada.

Everything under the sun around AC is a smaller "township."

I have lived in ocean city, pleasantville, somers point, linwood, ventnor, northfield, and margate. I found all to be fairly good places to live.

However, Somers point was one of my favs. So was ventnor. Both had a relatively easy ride to AC, tho ventnor is much closer of course. I'd recommend against pleasantville. It's mostly run down, but the tiny corner of it I was in for about eight months was nice enough.

I have had friends who lived in other areas near AC, and all were really mostly about the same.

You should realize that places by the water, like somers point and ventnor, get MUCH busier in the summer (as does all of south jersey).

You can PM me if you want more details. You might also ask Bunky9590, as he lives there right now.

AC is definitely a ghetto. I used to work at atomic tire, when it still existed, years ago. Nuff said for those who know what I am talking about. Don't wander more than a block or so from the boardwalk if you know what's good for you.

The advice to move to AZ or NV is also not going to be in any way disputed by me, having spent a great deal of time in both NJ and NV.

I would disagree on absecon, but agree on galloway township.

when the noreasterns hit in AC you'll wish it was just snowy. South jersey can be quite cold in the winter, but I'd disagree somewhat on it being nearly as cold as new york, as I was raised there, and damn NY is cold.
