Hey all, this is my first post on this site.

I've been playing on Party Poker for about 6 months and have progressed up to 3/6. I only play full tables and have just about always played 3 tables at once. I feel I've been doing ok, but feel I can do better. My reasoning is that a good player can make one big bet per hour in a casino. Now if you can play 3 times as fast online, mutiplied by 3 tables at once, you're optimal goal is 9 BB per hour.

So far I've been making about 4 BB per hour for 3 tables at 2/4 and 3/6, where I've played the bulk of my hands (40,000 at 2/4, 25,000 at 3/6, out of 80,000 total). So this 1.33 BB per table per hour works out roughly to be a little better than 2 BB per 100 hands.

I just would like feedback to see if my initial goal/expectation of 2 BB per table per hour is reasonable? If not, what rate would be considered good? Also, what should be my goals/expectations be as I progress thru 5/10 and 10/20? Lastly, would it be worth opening a 4th table now too since Party will let you do this now.

I appreciate any comments anyone would like to give. Thanks, and I look forward to being part of these forums.

Well - I play one table at 2/4 and make 3.8 BBs per 100 hands in a nice relaxing game where I can multi task on other things.

Perhaps you should hone you skills with less tables before you advance to multi tables.

Just my opinion - not trying to cut you down.

It all depends on the limits you're talking. 2 BB/Table Hr playing 4 tables at 15/30 would be excellent, fantastic even. That rate at a micro table would be good but not great.

As for the 4th table, I'd be sure I had 1600 x 1200 resolution capability so all 4 can fit on the screen without overlap. This really makes a big difference IMO. When you add a 4th, your overall win rate will almost certainly go down. If it drops below what you're making at 3 tables, obviously the 4th would not add value and shouldn't be played.

There's players here that do even more than 4 tables (up to 8!) so hopefully they'll respond to you with their insight. I personally have no clue how this is done both mentally and physically.

i think it's an okay rule to play as many tables as you can as long as your bb/100 is over 2 (hopefully at least near 3).

You make $4*3.8 = $15.2 per 100 hands.
Playing 60 hands / hour at the $2/4 limit, he makes about $16 per 180 hands. That's only 100/180*16 ~ $8.9 per 100 hands. However, he play three times as many hands as you, so his true hourly profit per 100 hands is $8.9*3 = $26.7, which is 75 % higher than your hourly win in terms of dollars. Or have I made some mistakes in my calculations? It's not unlikely that I have. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Unfortunately my personal sample is too small, I only have 18.4k hands logged at the 2/4 limit, but during those hands I've averaged 3.95BB/100h when playing mostly four tables. This turns out to be a little better than 1.5BB/hr. I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep that up since I don't know if it's very good numbers or not. But since I'm still learning, and hopefully improves my game, and since people say that 2BB/hr. should be doable at the LL games, I think I might be able to pull it off. Life sure is looking good now. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh, I'm not saying that more tables is better. It's up to each and every one. Depending on your motives for playing etc. But I do believe everyone that can beat the game for a solid amount easily can manage two tables. Only one way to find out. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I suppose the easiest way would be to compare BB/100h when playing one tables vs two tables.

2 BB/hr is very attainable. you could get to 3+ if you work and study enough

True... It's very simple:
Beachbum said he makes 1.33BB/Hr/table
Webster said he makes 3.8BB/100 hands = (60/100)*3.8=2.28BB/Hr/table.

Now Beachbum plays 3 tables which means he makes 1.33*3*4=16$/Hr. Websters rate is 2.28*4=9.16$/Hr.
