WPT & WSOP...Deals?

Not really knowing much about the big time poker tournaments, I assume deals are made on a regular basis. How about at the WPT & WSOP, are deals made between the final 2 or 3 normally??...will TV coverage discourage deal making?

Deals were barred by the WPT after a deal was made at the Bicycle event this season between Paul Phillips and Mel Judah. This is not the case in other events, such as those at the WSOP.

they can discourage official ones, but they can't stop people from doing it privately if they work out simple codes
