Party 2/4 (10 handed)

Notes:
UTG+1 -> Overaggressive, bluffs too much (he is on a short stack this hand)
MP -> Aggressive with decent to good hands, traps with monsters, his weakness is he likes to chase.

I'm the CO with http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/jd.jpg http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/js.jpg

Preflop: UTG+1 limps, MP limps, I raise, SB defends, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, MP calls.

FLOP: http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/6d.jpg http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/5c.jpg http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/jc.jpg

SB checks, UTG+1 bets, MP raises, I three-bet, SB folds, UTG+1 calls, MP calls.

TURN: http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/8s.jpg

UTG+1 bets (.25 all-in), MP calls (.25), I make it a full bet, MP calls.

RIVER: http://www.pokerodyssey.com/img/cards/tc.jpg

UTG+1 is all-in, MP checks, I check it down.

Results and questions in white below

UTG+1 has 8c6c for turned two pair and flush on the river, MP has Jh9h for top pair weak kicker.

I win the side pot ($7), UTG+1 wins main pot ($35.25).

Mainly I'm wondering about my river check...I didn't put MP on a flush (except maybe a big nut flush draw with a pair or something) and I probably should have bet it, but was worried about the board being so coordinated he might have hit a straight and if he did in fact have a flush I would be check/raised if I bet. Thanks.

Someone has to have an opinion...

I bet the river almost all the time. Given your desciption of MP, you can easily fold to his potential checkraise.

Agree with sfer. You have to bet the river here. His flop raise then call call call is consistent with a vulnerable hand, not a trapping monster.

sfer - munga,

Thanks, that's basically what I was expecting to hear, but just wanted to make sure.

I might smoothcall the flop raise and plan on raising the turn.

I would bet the river about 100.01% of the time.

You NEED to bet the river here, Jason, everytime, regardless of the All-in player.

I think I call the flop and raise the turn. But you must place a value bet on the river.

Peace,
