$50+$5 PartyPoker NLHE SNG. Blinds are 150/300. 6 players left. I'm in small blind w/ K8o, I have about T1300 after posting, BB has about 2700 and is a poor player. No one is especially short-stacked.

It folds around to me. I push in and BB wakes up with JJ -- game over.

Is this a good push? These SNGs often reach the stage where everyone has enough for 2-5 rounds of blinds, so the whole table goes into push or fold mode.

What are your standards for starting hands in this situation? Especially, what do you do if you're not catching any high cards or PPs? Just how long can you be patient?

Thanks.

i push in here, unless by poor player you mean way too loose, in which case it's close. in my experience BB will fold at least 75% of his hands here, and you will still have a reasonable chance of winning if he calls.
