been playing some low limit(about 7 or 10 dollar buy) single table tourneys, but lets say between a 10 dollar and 50 dollar buy in, should you ever limp(pre-flop) in these single table tourneys?

I think you'll get more responses in the Single Table Tournament Forum.

But I'm sure there are situations where limping is okay.

I love to limp with a great many hands in the first couple of rounds in the tournament. Occasionally, the flop will hit you and you will be paid well if you play aggressively post flop.

In the mid to later rounds, always raise if you're first in and have a playable hand. Don't call raises however unless you have an exceptional hand. Wait for opportunities to get the best of it to build your stack. Do not chase in marginal situations, and don't go too far with drawing hands like AK.
