Good play or bad? I really didn't have a good read against this guy. I was playing 2 tables, and he had been here for maybe 20-30 hands, but hadn't done too much for me to take any notice. I have no idea what he could have had here, but I just wondered about the play in general. This was one of those.... "put the pressure on 'em" bets; and no... I don't make them very often at all. My feeling was that my hand was very vulnerable here to both straights and flush draws, but I had a couple outs to save my idiot-ass if he called with a better hand, but I basically made the push as a protection measure. Was I thinking correctly?

I think it's fine. However, if you did it trying to protect from draws why did you underbet the pot on the turn? Betting 7 or 8 would have been better I think. Of course him raising then makes it more difficult.

Putting him all in gives you the advantage of not having to decide what to do if a scare card comes on the river.
