I stopped by the Palms poker room last night, and apparently they are going to spread a $10-$20 Crazy Pineapple game. I asked about the structure, and this is what I found out (though obviously everything could change in the future):
* One $2.50 blind
* It is "raise or fold" for the first bet. That is, you can choose to open for $20 or fold. All subsequent raises are $10 raises.
* They plan to use their new orange $3 chips.
It sounds like a cool game! I thought the structure was a little strange, so I asked the manager why he chose it. He said, "All of our other games use the same structure. I figured I'd try a little something different this time." Fair enough.
I'm a little worried that there will be stiff competition for table space, though. They have been using most of their tables already for $2-$10-$20 Stud Hi-Lo Double Qualifier, Two pair for high, Eight or better for low games. If a few of us come to play the Crazy Pineapple, I'm sure they'll convert one of the stud must-move tables for us.
I'll update as I learn more...
