I think it's great.

Hopefully it does not turn into another case of the college or the parents or the government trying to protect students from themselves.

One of the students said it best: a victimless crime, which IMO describes many of the things that are illegal today.

In my local paper today (Sacramento Bee) there was quite a spread on poker, mostly revolving around the WPT qualifying event, held in Reno a few weeks back, and the celebrity status some pros receive at these events.

It's definitely gone mainstream, I know so many who watch it on TV now, and most of my friends/acquaintances are involved in some sort of home Hold'em tourney.

This can only be a positive for the future of poker.

I blame Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osborne for starting the poker craze that caused my teenager to lose all of my money
