Over what? The EV of playing 64s in the CO with 3 limpers and LAG on the button with weak tights in the blinds?

What happened, did someone bring up p. 159 in HPFAP and Mason blew a gasket? You know you're dealing with poker players here, they know a bluff when they see one.

I've got the story. They ran into QuadNines and a heated discussion about betting into 5 opponents with T /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gif on a A /images/graemlins/spade.gif7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif board turned ugly.

QuadNines challenged Mason to a fight, but Mason suggested they settle it over a Tennis match. David was brought in to negotiate the wager. Out of nowhere, Russ G approached David and accused him on cheating the LA lowball games in the 70s.

Then all hell broke loose.

Is this a plus or minus EV play? Is there an over/under on the bail money needed or the amount of time they may be in Jail? Any bookies taking bets etc.

When is the book coming out and will there be a movie?

Come on Ray, you are suppose to be in the know, in the inner circle. You are letting us down with this lack of information. Dig deeper, damnit.

I once got out of jail with the simple use of my credit card - they are both smart guys, they should be able to figure something out.

I'll donate 1 dollar to a bailout fund, since it's the first day of the month. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Actually you have the story all wrong to the extent that I think you made it up. I was sitting at the Bellagio at just after midnight last night and this is what I saw:

Mason was walking through the lobby and ran into Limon. Limon then asked him to clarify his view on big bet poker, to which Mason replied "It's a boring game." Limon responded "Yeah, well my foots about to go all-in your ass, bitch!" and proceeded to throw a punch. Sklansky and Doyle Brunson tried to step in to stop the fight. Unfortunately Sklansky stepped on Dolly's toe. In a moment of fury Brunson said "sure everybody says your the poker authority, but when it comes time to perform you can't do it! If you're so good why are you only playing 30-60?" Sklansky got red with anger, grabbed a beer bottle and cracked it over Brunson's head. Then he he grabbed Limon and held him back. Just as the cops were showing up Mason took a couple sucker punches on a defenseless Limon.

Pretty crazy night. Unfortunately for me I saw a lot less action on my good hands than on the floor that night. Finished down a couple hundred but have a great story for the grandkids.

The bright side? They shouldn't have any trouble keeping themselves in cigarettes.

As I understand it, David and Mason we're hanging out at the Bellagio talking about how cold it still is in Montana. Shortly thereafter, a tourist toting a copy of HEPFAP recognized David and asked him a question on one of the concepts to which David replied "I'll let Mason elaborate". At the time, David was thinking about a real tough game theory question for experts only.

So Mason kind of snorts but is obliging enough to explaing why it is OK to limp with J-J and what Razz concept they were really talking about.

When Mason was done with his explanations, the tourist asks Mason is he can autograph the book. Mason agrees. He writes and simultaneously says "best wishes" and glances at David to indicate to the tourist that the sentiment is from both of them. But David, who recently nicked his right ear while trimming his beard and as a result is having some hearing issues, believed Mason said "best fishes" when he glanced over at him. Obviously insulted by the apparent disparaging remark, David retorts how dreadful it was to fold jacks on the turn with a Q-8-4-2 board for a single bet. Now at that moment, Mason was bending over to retrieve what he thought was a penny on the floor sitting heads up. Mason replied to David that he'll post the hand and says "this is one to talk about". Unfortunately, hearing-impaired David thought Mason said "kiss this one you bald lout".

I believe it was at that point a scuffle broke out, the authorities were summoned and both Mason and David got a chance to test the solution to the prisoners dilema.

How many times do you think he could whirl around? 3? 4?

Would Doyle take the bet if it was 5 full revolutions?
