The funny thing is they say the action begins with four amateurs but they said that lady Kathy is a pro. Did anybody else pick up on that? Am I missing something?

Recently saw that season 1 episode.

The Pros were invited. The amateurs bought their way in via satellites on UB. Kathy got into the tournament via that route, thus qualified as one of the amateurs.

The only flaw I can think of in your logic is that the original show also referred to UB fairly frequently. Why replace one show with another that has the same potential problem (NB: I've not seen the actual US transmission but the DVD version refers to UB fairly often)?

Do the threats only apply to new transmissions and not repeats?

Attacking a country that neither had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks nor has the potential to do anything like it is in no way preventing another catastrophic event. In fact the Bush administration has made it easier for the terrorists to plan another 9/11 by taking the pressure off of them and placing it where it isn't needed.

I think you have it a bit backwards. The "Pro" end, was a high buy-in. The "amateur" end was through the satellites. If they "invited" top pros, Kathy Liebert would've been one of them.
