An Outrage Against our System of Justice

Check out this Article (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040328/ap_on_go_co/bush_judges_4) about Democrats stopping ALL judges from taking their place in the justice system. US justice will be crippled if this continues. Can there be anything more irresponsible for a US senator to do?

Right...how dare they want the president to actually get congressional approval for judges and not seek temporary appointments them while the Senate is in recess.

It appears the (not so) Honorable Senator Daschle has not read Article II section 2 Clause 3 of the US Constitution:

Clause 3: The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

Now I can see the argument coming that the vacancy did not actually occur during a Congressional recess but that has already been addressed historically and such an argument just does not hold water.
