/images/graemlins/grin.gif the u.s. treasuries are extremely weak t*chnically (cannot use technical talk on this board) ..(lol)...

treasuries have completed a series of moves which make it highly likely for a major decrease in price very soon...

so short..or buy puts on longer term treasuries...or just sit and watch while others drive the porsches around...

lol

not a trade recommendation..just get your barrons (lol) out and track these prices..lol..you'll be amazed..

Are you talking about the Gartley pattern, my friend who trades for a living keeps telling me about it. Personally I think it's the least reliable pattern in all of technical analysis.

What the hell are you talking about? Can't I just invest in some index fund that will do just as well?

And forget u.s. treasuries; buy Tesoro Petroleum (TSO). /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Technical analysis explains many stocks and narrow categories such as single commodities, but they can't possibly explain the multitude of factors that affect treasuries. Treasuries are weak right now because people are afraid Japan will stop buying them, but there is only so far the Japanese will go before they will be back selling yen and reinvesting their dollars in treasuries. Some things just don't change. Besides there are another 100 factors I could name that could explain some movement in the treasury market that have nothing to do with any charting.

/images/graemlins/smirk.gif but that's the point about technical analysis..it's all in the numbers..lol..see....the chart shows what is the summ of all fundamental analyses...and by correctly interpreting charts/ you do not need anything else...duh..that is what technical analysis is,,,by the way..i hope you are on board...it's happenibg...the fast stochastic is well below the slow...and the planets are lining up..lol..

buy thos puts boys; it still ain't too late...

At this very moment, Ray Zee is out in his garden digging up old Mason Jars full of gold coin that he plans on investing in Scalf's Techno-anal Wiz-bang chart gizmo number thang. He believes! /images/graemlins/smirk.gif The planets lining up is just icing on the cake. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Vanguard has a long-term bond index fund (VBLTX) that has over 25% in treasury notes.

So should I take out some loans to invest in all these puts you keep yapping about?

Most of my money went into a Roth IRA that's in sort of a 'European S&P 500 index fund' Vanguard (VEURX). I've gone international. Those sappy head socialist in Europe better not let me down. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
