I've been playing online for about 7 months. Strictly SnG's. I've finished top 3 about 50% of the time. Is that a good result?

I would say yes. For instance, if you play $5+1, you are paying $60 for ten games. You say you are finishing in the top three 50% of the time so we will say you average a second place. Second place in 5 out of ten tourneys will earn you $75. So for every $60 you spend, you profit $15......an increase of 25%. Not bad at all IMO.

It depends how many wins and seconds you are getting. For instance it that 50% was purely 3rd places then you would be losing money. The level you are playing at is significant too. 50% in the money at $100 buy in level is going to be a lot better then 50% in the money at the $5 level.

What buyins are we talking about and what percentage of first and seconds are you getting?
